Q: When is the Festival?
Prairie Arts Festival is held each year on the Saturday before Labor Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Next year it is Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Q: Where is the Festival held?
Prairie Arts Festival is in historic downtown West Point, Mississippi, along Commerce Street and in Sally Kate Winters Park.
Q: When are booth assignments mailed to vendors?
The Arts and Crafts vendor applications deadline is July 31st every year. We will mail out set up information starting August 1.
Q: Are pets allowed at the Festival?
Pets are not permitted at the festival. That includes dogs, cats, snakes, birds, fish, bearded dragons, etc. Service dogs are permitted but with proper vest and/or identification. Letting us know in advance is not required but always helpful. Reach us at (662) 494-5121.
Q: Is the Prairie Arts Festival safe?
The West Point Police Department AND the Clay County Sheriff’s Department are on site all day. There is an emergency trailer set up next to the main Information Booth, as well as a First Aid trailer.
Q: What can I find at the Information Booth?
Volunteers sell t-shirts, both current year and past year, festival posters, a map of the festival area and a list of all vendors. They can direct you to the First Aid station.
